The MSG gripper uses FOC stepper motors without gearboxes, enabling precise control of gripping force and accurate detection of forces applied by or to the gripper. It is designed for modern embedded AI applications and teleoperation. All hardware designs are open source.

One more robot abuse clip. We can hopefully share more info about this bot soon. What we can say is that it will be affordable, focused on teleoperation, imitation learning and AI. A new humanoid player maybe?? πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ¦ΎπŸ€–

PAROL6 robotic arm + LEAP motion controller * Data is streamed to the robot at 100Hz via UDP * The robot has pneumatic gripper that is controlled by opening and closing fist * Robot is open source and you can find the code here: github.com/PCrnjak/PAROL6…

2 of our open-source SSG48 grippers in bilateral teleoperation mode. This basically allows you to have a slave gripper that is a haptic device. This mode is perfect for teleoperation or imitation learning. More info here: github.com/PCrnjak/SSG-48…

Each arm uses a 2x Spectral micro BLDC driver + a gimbal motor. Then those 2 motors are connected in a daisy chain to the CAN of the Raspberry Pi. On the PI we have an rt kernel that gets data from the joints at 250Hz, and sends that data over UDP to to the other arm.

If we get 10K likes we will make 4 of these and add lightsabers to them recreating a general Grievous from star wars. 😜 Jokes aside, We added slip rings to our latest robot project. As you can see our SSG48 gripper can spin indefinitely and operate at the same time! 🦾

Controlling a CM6 robot with a LEAP motion controller. J2 of the robot is a bit underpowered but we mainly tested our algorithm here that we will implement on our other robots. Data is shared at 125Hz between robot and Leap over local network.
