Hello 👋

I’m Prabin Poudel, Frelancing Rails and Web App Developer from Nepal 🇳🇵

I have been working as a freelancer ever since I started coding in 2017, and have helped over 10 companies from all around the world; to automate their business and turn their app ideas to reality.

I occasionally contribute to Open Source Projects, mainly on projects related to Ruby and Rails.

I love working on side projects in my leisure, check out the Ruby/Rails Bot on Twitter, I built using Ruby to help the Ruby/Rails community by retweeting all the ruby and rails hashtags. Here is the code if you are interested in building one yourself.

I write about my struggles and solutions as a developer in my blogs frequently on my own Personal Site.

Most recently (2024), I was also working as the CEO of Truemark Technology

On the sides, I am actively working on making Minitest more approachable to beginners by writing a comprehensive guide to write tests with Minitest at https://minitestrails.com.

I am also building a multi-flavor SaaS starter kit for Rails ecosystem called Zero Config Rails. I think starter kits help in providing determinism to AI by providing a solid foundation. The app is multi-flavor as in unlike other SaaS starter kits, you can spin up various types of applications from Zero Config Rails like a normal SaaS, vanilla Rails app, multi-tenant SaaS, Technical Guides, Portfolio Sites, etc.. Another unique selling point for Zero Config Rails is it's ability to configure additional gems in your project, especially helpful if you want to spin up a vanilla Rails project and need to add various gems to it; same as Rails templates with only difference of you not having to maintain any code for it.

I had a sever lower back in mid-2026 due to sitting for long hours which severly affected my work as well. To not have the same issue in future, I have also built an app to remind me for changing my positions in a fixed interval. If you are someone who work long hours in desks you will find it useful, check it out: https://postureloop.com
